Anti-Spiking Initiative

Cardigan NPPT are working with local partners to raise awareness of drink spiking across south Ceredigion.

As part of Neighbourhood Policing Week, PCSO Steffan Jones 8116 and PCSO Sian Clarke 8150 met today with Julian Beynon-Lewis from the Cardigan BOBB (Behave Or Be Banned) Scheme at the Guildhall in Cardigan, where anti-spiking drink covers were provided.  

The Heddlu Dyfed-Powys Police branded anti-spiking drink covers are designed to be placed on the rim of a glass, acting as a barrier to prevent any substances from being dropped into the drink and have a sealed opening where a straw can be placed through.

Cardigan NPPT are out on patrol this evening supplying licensed premises with covers for customers to use.  Please feel free to ask for one, if you're out tonight.
